1. Volkswagen Golf: 520,958 sold

Wow! In 2013 the Volkswagen Golf dominated the European sales chart with 468,850 units sold. Last year that figure rose by 11.1% to a hugely impressive 520,958 units, securing the top spot for the seventh consecutive year. Seven is clearly a lucky number, as the Golf is on its seventh generation. And to think, the hugely popular Golf could only manage fourth place in the UK.
