4. Volkswagen Polo: 280,378 sold

Even with a 2% drop in sales in December, the Volkswagen Polo remained the fourth best-selling car in Europe. In relative terms it’s not as popular in the UK, where it could only finish seventh. But hey, us Brits just love the Fiesta. Across the entire year, the Polo saw a 5.2% increase in sales.
