December 6 - Newcastle 2-1 Chelsea

With 14 games gone and no defeats, some quarters were beginning to suggest this Chelsea side could match Arsenal's 2003/04 'Invincibles' but those hopes were brought back down to earth at St. James' Park.
After a goalless first half, Papiss Cisse struck twice to put Alan Pardew's men in control. However, a Steven Taylor red card and Didier Drogba goal led to a nervy final 10 minutes but the Magpies held on as Chelsea's lead was cut to three points by champions Man City.
