How to Style:
1.Start with dry hair.
2. Section out the front area that you will be braiding. Clip this aside.
3. Starting at the bottom of your hair, take 1-2 inch sections and curl them using your flat iron. Spray a thermal protectant before you begin curling.
4. Clamp hair starting about 1/2 inch away from scalp.
5. Pull straight out from the head and start to rotate your wrist as you are pulling. You will be giving your hair a “ribboning” effect.
6. Continue this process until all of the hair that isn’t clipped aside is done.
7. Brush the hair forward that was set aside for the braid. Bring the hair down as close to the eyebrow as possible.
8. Starting from what ever side you want the braid to go to, start a standard 3-strand French braid. Once the braid is finished, tie it with a small clear elastic.
9. Pin the braid to the side with a bobby pin. You could even use a tiny claw clip to keep in place. Use whatever is easiest for you and however you can best conceal the pin or clip.
10. Spray with a medium hold hairspray.
Recommended Products:
You can use Aquage’s Finishing spray as a thermal protectant as well as hairspray. I personally use it to curl all of the time!
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This style works well on all face shapes as well as all hair types.
Tip:
You can do this style even if you do not have bangs. Take some hair from the top of your head (right in front of the crown area) and brush forward to make a “faux” bang.
