Real Madrid are watching Raheem Stirling's situation at Liverpool, Zinedine Zidane has said.
The revelation comes as the England winger and bosses at Anfield discuss his future at the club, after he recently insisted he would not sign a new contract until the summer.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are also rumoured to have the Liverpool winger in their sights, according to the Telegraph.
Former Bernabeu player Zidane, who now manages Real Madrid's Castilla B-Team, told the Daily Mail: “We know who Raheem Sterling is, and of course we are monitoring him as a player."
He said there are "very few players in the world who can improve the Real Madrid squad", and reasoned it "make[s] sense we monitor the progress of the best young players in the world."
Zidane added that the club also formerly kept watch of current Real Madrid players Gareth Bale, Isco and Raphaƫl Varane.
The footballing legend's comments come after Sterling last week told the BBC that he one day hoped to play "somewhere sunny".
