The Bombshell Braid

This stunning combination of messy and manicured is a great way to modernize your everyday French braid, and to guarantee that all eyes are on you (and your hair)!

Long Blonde Modern French Braid

Hairdos for Long Hair

How To Style:
  1. Begin by using a small curling iron to curl your hair. A 1-inch or 1½-inch iron would be ideal.
  2. When everything is curled, use a backcombing brush to create volume and body at your roots in the back of your head.
  3. Create a loose French braid starting on one side of your head in the middle back area, and ending on the opposite side at the nape of your neck. Leave out bangs if you so desire.
  4. Use a rat tail comb or your fingers to gently loosen the braid and pull out some pieces to give a messier look. Use bobby pins to place curls that have fallen out of the braid if you feel this is necessary.
  5. Spray everything with a light hold finishing spray.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
This style will look lovely on anyone who wants to make a round face appear slimmer. Long, thick hair is ideal for this style. If you need a little extra hair, use a clip-in extension or two!
Recommended Products:
Spray some dry shampoo at your roots before you back comb. It will make a great base for the braid and give you TONS of body! I like Fresh Hair by Kevin Murphy.
