2. Rob Lowe – The West Wing

Rob Lowe was the biggest star of The West Wing when it began in 1999, but as its popularity grew, so did the profile of his co-stars, including Allison Janney, John Spencer and Bradley Whitford. When they teamed up to demand they were paid the same as Lowe, the network relented.
But he wasn’t happy to have lost his star status and left the White House drama in 2003. Rob later explained in his autobiography that he thought: “You know what? This is not right. It's just not right.”
