Dual Color Spiral Curls with Swept Fringe

It seems like nowadays we can’t get enough of color. We want color and we want it now. Most importantly we want the color we want. It’s kind of upsetting when you go to the beauty parlor for a double process in the specific color of your choice, only to receive the total opposite of the color you’ve requested. Well, be disappointed no more as I have the perfect solution; clip-in (or on) hair extension’s in the color that you desire! Adding hair extensions is not only a safer way to add color, but it’s also good for adding length to short or medium length hair and volume to thin hair. Adding colored hair extensions to any hairstyle can brighten up its look and add an abundance of excitement to its appearance.

How to Style:
  1. Clean, condition and dry hair.
  2. Part hair on side (forehead to middle of head).
  3. Flatten hair completely straight and smooth using a 2-3 inch flat iron. Flat iron should be set at 400-450 degrees.
  4. Comb hair located at the back and sides of the head downward and the hair located on the top of the head sideways— be sure to keep the part line in place.
  5. Using a fishtail comb, part hair into two sections, starting from one ear and ending at the other ear. Use hairclips to keep both sections (top & bottom) of hair separated.
  6. Apply black and blonde (straight textured) clip-on hair extensions below the part line. Hair Extensions should be clipped into place. Hair extensions can be sewn-in also by a professional weave specialist. 6-12 layers of hair extensions should be added for accurate balance and fullness.
  7. Combine hair extensions and natural hair together by brushing hair with a hard Boar Bristle Brush— be sure to keep the part line in place.
  8. Comb a medium-sized portion of the hair located at the top of the head forward to the front of the head, then sideways (covering one side of the forehead). This will create a side-swept bang/fringe effect. This portion of hair will now be referred to as a fringe.
  9. Using a 3-inch barrel curling iron, start spiral curling hair 4 inches from the scalp from one side of the head to the other. Don’t touch the fringe area.
  10. Using a flat iron, curl the ends of the hair located at the front of the head (known as the fringe) upward; use a comb to sweep the bangs to one side of the forehead.
  11. Spray with oil sheen and/or finishing spray to complete look.
