Sideswept Beauty

Michelle Williams’ grown out pixie is a style all in itself. Pushing the majority of the hair up and forward from one side creates beautiful layering and volume. Keeping the nape tapered helps keep this look from looking too messy and undone.

Sideswept Beauty 2012 Hairstyle

How To Style:
  1. Comb with a wide tooth comb out of the shower to detangle then use the blow dryer and your fingers to push and dry hair up and towards the face.
  2. When hair is almost dry, use a smaller sized round brush and finish off the ends, rolling them down and to the side.
  3. Also use the round brush to add volume at the roots so hair doesn’t look flat.
Recommended Hair Products:
Apply a light volumizing mousse to the hair and also a leave in conditioner or serum so hair looks soft. Try Prive’s Shining Weightless Amplifier for volume and flexible hold that won’t be crunchy. Use Pureology’s Cuticle Polisher Shine Cream to smooth and break up your blow out to perfection.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Any face shape can try this look and any hair type can. This look really works for wavy haired clients but others can try knowing a little more effort will have to be made.
Tip:
This look is a lot more versatile because of the longer length at the top. Feel free to part your hair differently every day for fresh new looks.
