Soft Edge

If you still miss the days of edgy cuts and extreme razored texture, take a step in a softer direction by trying this sleek shag. Longer bangs and tapered layers around the chin help frame the face beautifully. Short razored layers at the crown add a sassy flare and interesting texture to this sophisticated shag. Enhance with some bold colored highlights for more attitude.

Soft Edge Hairstyles

How To Style:
  1. Instead of depending on the flat iron, up your blow dry skills to round out this shag.
  2. Use a medium sized round brush and really roll the ends under, especially around and toward the face.
  3. Use a flat iron if you need to after hair is dry, but bevel the flat iron under so you don’t get any extremely straight edges.
  4. Spray on some shine spray and finger through.
Recommended Hair Products:
Use Kerastase’s Oleo-Relax while wet or dry before applying heat to smooth and protect hair strands. Minimal product is needed for this look so it still feels soft. Use Moroccan Oil Gold Glimmer Shine to spray over hair when done for instant glimmer and shine.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Because the length of this cut falls past the chin line, any face shape would look great with this look. Girls with straight to wavy hair would be perfect clients for this style and fine to thick hair would be able to pull the look off, too.
Tip:
With hair this healthy and shiny looking, don’t use hairspray or texture sprays for extremely soft and touchable hair. Using a serum instead will keep this style from getting sticky and will optimize its flirty movement.
