2. Ping-Pong, Sameyakh

The Israeli broadcasting authority disowned it’s own entry for Eurovision in 2000, after they waved Syrian flags and made rude gestures with cucumbers while performing.
The group were forced to cover their own costs for the event, with the then chairman of the Israeli Broadcasting Authority being quoted as saying: “They will compete there, but not on behalf of the Israeli Broadcasting Authority or the Israeli people. They are representing only themselves.”
