Burnley earned a 1-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday, but were relegated to the Championship after other results went against them.
Danny Ings scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half as the visitors earned just their second away win of the season.
Despite late pressure, the hosts just couldn't find the equaliser and are now in serious trouble after Sunderland, Aston Villa and Leicester City all won their matches.
