Red Carpet Curls

I really like this look because it’s extremely versatile. You can wear it to church, work, a wedding or to the club. Follow the steps below to create this look.

How to Style:
  1. Wash hair using a moisturizing shampoo, then condition hair with a rinse-out conditioner. Towel dry hair. If using hot rollers to curl hair, dry hair fully with blow-dryer.
  2. Apply styling gel or mousse to damp towel-dried hair, coating hair from top to bottom (scalp to ends). If using hot rollers, don’t apply gel or mousse. Move to step 3.
  3. Divide hair into 4 sections and use hairclips to secure section in place. Select a section of hair (from the 4 sections created) to work with first. Once a section has been selected, release hairclip from hair and withdraw a medium amount of hair from section using a fishtail comb, then re-clip hairclip to hair.
  4. Using a roller, begin roller setting hair by wrapping ends around roller. Repeat this step until the curling process has been completed.
  5. Allow hair to air dry. A hooded dryer can be utilized for faster drying time. If using a hooded dryer, set the dryer to a medium to high temperature for  30-55 min. Don’t use hot rollers under a hooded dryer. The heat of the hot rollers will form the hair into curls; therefore, a hooded dryer is not necessary.
  6. Remove rollers once hair has completely — or cooled if using hot rollers. Then run fingers through curls to loosen and lengthen curls. Don’t use a comb; the comb will turn the curls into waves.
  7. Part hair on side, and then carefully arrange curls using the above picture as a blueprint.
  8. Spray with flexible holding hairspray.
Recommended Products:

I recommend a quality hairspray and gel or mousse (not to be used with hot rollers).
Best Face Shape:
All face shapes suit this style.
