How To Style:
- Begin with dry hair that’s parted to one side. Style your bangs as desired and leave them out.
- Use a backcombing brush to create volume at your crown area.
- Gently use a boar bristle brush to smooth down the area you have just backcombed.
- Gather the rest of your hair into a very low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
- Use bobby pins and secure the ponytail hair into a bun.
- Spray everything with a light hold finishing spray.
This look is perfection for you if you have short hair that’s fine in texture. Any face shape will be complemented by this style. It’s also a great way to show off some fun accessories or a special makeup application!

If you want to get more body at your roots when backcombing, spray some dry shampoo on the hair before you back comb it. I love Fresh Hair by Kevin Murphy.
Tips:
A backcombing brush is a great help when creating body. I love the Spornette Little Wonder Brush. It’s gentle on your hair and won’t cause breakage.
