1. Consider supplements
When I got engaged, the first thing I did was set up a hair appointment with my stylist to discuss my wedding hair plan. She knew long, superstar tresses were on my list of wants for my wedding day hair so she recommended a few supplements for me to consider taking daily to boost my hair length fast. Biotin and pre-natal vitamins are just some of the natural supplements that were recommended and that many take to help their hair health. Remember to consult your physician before adding any supplements to your diet.2. Get regular trims
It may seem counterproductive, but sticking to a strict schedule of trims (every four to six weeks to be exact) will make sure your hair is super healthy. There’s no point in having long hair if it’s thin and breaking; regular trims will help keep your hair free of nasty split ends.3. Stay healthy
You already know that stress can make you sick; it can also wreak havoc on your overall health affecting everything from your sleep patterns to hair and nail growth. Yes, planning a wedding can get pretty stressful at times but remember, it’s not something to literally lose your hair over. Eat right, exercise and remember to breath deeply so you can stay healthy and have healthy hair too.4. Lay off the heat
Look, I love curling my hair, drying it regularly and using the flat iron just as much as the next gal but let’s be honest, it certainly doesn’t help your hair health. It fries, it dries and makes you get split ends pretty quick. Try laying off the hot tools or using them less often if you’re trying to grow your hair out for the “Big Day”.For more bridal hair tips and style ideas, visit our full wedding hair section.
