Graduation builds volume and layers remove volume. If you have a lot of hair, getting a graduation will make  you look like you have a space ship on your head. Some people will attempt to get a higher graduation to remove more hair. This only moves the volume higher and could make your profile look like a pterodactyl! If you thin it out enough to skinny it down, you’ll destroy the foundation of your haircut and it will be difficult to style on your own and not grow out well.
