Everton v Burnley

With neither Hull, Sunderland nor QPR playing this weekend, Burnley have a golden opportunity to climb out of the drop zone. However their tendency to score early – they have the division’s highest share of goals in the opening 15 minutes and the third highest in the first half – probably won’t help them at Goodison Park. Everton have soaked up shots better than anyone else before the interval this season, while the Clarets themselves have struggled to do so. With six of Romelu Lukaku’s eight Premier League goals having arrived in the first half, the home side look likely to start the second half ahead.
