Man In Wheelchair Rescued From Subway Tracks

A man in a motorised wheelchair has been rescued after falling off a subway platform in Washington.

Two commuters rushed to the man's aid after he tipped over the edge of the platform at the U Street-Cardozo station, a few miles from the White House.
One person initially jumped onto the tracks to help the man.
When it became clear he could not lift him on his own, a second commuter joined the rescue effort.
The man was taken to hospital suffering only minor injuries to his face.
