Mel Sykes is ultra-fit and admits she works out hard. “I’d had two children, I was approaching 40, so I bit the bullet,” she said. “I wanted to get toned. I wanted to start investing in my health – so I did. Everyone that says ‘You’re so lucky to look like that’, I’m not lucky at all, I put the work in. Anyone can get fit. If I can, anyone can – it’s that simple!”
Sykes is a fan of short, intense workouts. “I’m never in the gym longer than an hour,” she told Fit & Well. “Recently, I’ve been blitzing 20 minutes in the gym with high intensity and I don’t give myself a break at all. That’s as good as an hour pottering around”.
