Ten years after Beckham, Xabi Alonso hit two spectacular long range efforts in one season. He produced a phenomenal 60-yard strike against Luton Town in the FA Cup and then followed that up with another extraordinary goal when Newcastle visited Anfield in September 2006. The Spaniard scored the second goal in a 2-0 win, leaving Steve Harper stranded in the Newcastle goal.
