Mountain: 'Mississippi Queen'

Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" dominated the American rock airwaves in 1970. The band, featuring the intense baritone of singer-guitarist Leslie West and the slamming drums of Corky Laing, sounded positively Southern-fried, but they actually came from Long Island. Due to its appearance in "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band," "Mississippi Queen" is as popular today as it was 40 years back, but we never got a follow-up for this classic rock hit.
