Fringe Benefits

This cute pixie cut has longer bangs that have been chipped at to create a nice texture and wispy feel. A tapered area in the back is still kept soft with razored edges. Pop in some lighter colored highlights to break up the color.

How to Style:
  1. Use a comb on your hair right out of the shower to part your bangs forward and to the side.
  2. Use your fingers to comb through the rest of your hair, pulling it in the directions you want it to go.
  3. Blow dry your hair using a round brush on the bangs and your fingers on the rest.
  4. Use a flat iron around the front of the face and on the bangs to pull hair forward.
  5. Break up the sleekness and add texture by using the tips of your fingers to piece out the bangs and the back of your hair with product.
Recommended Products:
To add some texture to this short crop, opt for a hair wax or pomade. I like Healthy Sexy Hair’s Soy Paste to break up and show off all the great chunky layers.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
The thicker bang and face framing layers are perfect for heart shaped faces. Pretty much all hair thicknesses can achieve this style, but girls with crazy curls will have a harder time styling these sleek bangs.
Tip:
Keep in mind that short haircuts are low maintenance for everyday drying and styling, but require more trips to the salon to keep the length and shape. Weigh the pros and cons before plunging into this short pixie style.
