Louis Tomlinson is hotly tipped to replace Nick Grimshaw on the X Factor .
The One Direction hottie is reportedly competing against another Louis - former judge and X Factor legend Louis Walsh - for the spare seat on the panel after the Radio 1 DJ's exit from the show.
A source told The Sun the new dad - who joined Simon Cowell at judge's houses on last year's series - is keen to sign up: “Louis Tomlinson is very likely to replace Grimmy. He agreed in principle to the job while assisting Simon Cowell during the judges’ houses round last year.
“But Simon remains very fond of Louis Walsh and came very close to bringing him back during last year’s live shows.
“He felt a certain something was missing on the show without him.”
Last year the pop babe made no secret of his desire to return to the show which made him famous - this time as a judge.
He said: “I’m the biggest X Factor fan and would love to be there week in, week out and really give that level of passion. I think I’d be a decent judge."

A spokes person confirmed that Nick wouldn't be returning to the show again after just one year on the panel: “After careful consideration, Nick’s decided to rule himself out as a judge on this year’s X Factor.
“He loved working on last year’s series alongside Rita, Cheryl and Simon but it was very much a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He remains a massive fan of the show and is looking forward to watching it this year.”
The DJ and presenter was criticised for his performance on the show and didn't appear to have the right appeal for the viewers.
Reps for Louis and the X Factor have been contacted regarding the claims.
