How to Style:
- While hair is still damp, apply a sea salt spray to create texture.
- Blow dry hair using a vent or paddle brush. Flip head upside down during drying to create more volume.
- Turn on hot rollers. Once hair is completely dry, starting in the back, begin wrapping 2-inch sections around medium sized hot rollers. Be sure to alternate curls both away from and towards the face. Work your way up your head. When rolling hair towards the top of the head, make sure to keep all curlers below your eyebrows.
- Let the rollers cool completely before removing. While they cool, you can smooth your fringe off to one side. If needed, use a flat iron, making sure to turn the wrist to maintain a curve at ends.
- Remove hot rollers and mist curls with a medium working hairspray. Using a wide tooth comb, slowly comb down from roots to ends. Repeat as necessary.
- Arrange curls around face and mist with your favorite hairspray. An optional finishing touch? Red lips! This look screams red lipstick and soft cat eye liner.
Not all sea salt sprays are created equal. Beach Resort Spray by Kevin Murphy not only smells amazing, but creates just the right amount of texture and curl when creating this look. It won’t build up, gives remarkable shine, and never leaves your hair feeling stiff.
Best Face Shape and Hair Texture:
Heart shaped faces wear this best with hair that is wavy to straight with medium texture.
Tip:
If you’re not used to working with hot rollers, give this look a test run before your big night out. Experiment with the different size rollers and placement to find the perfect combo for your hair. Don’t be afraid to pull one side back and add a sparkly clip or barrette that matches your outfit!
