Manchester United have made a mockery of their supposed tricky run in by embarking on a six game winning streak and sweeping aside some of their top four rivals in the process. Scalpings of Tottenham, Liverpool and – surely most pleasing of all for Louis van Gaal – local rivals City have re-established United as a serious outfit and seen the Red Devils convert their chances more efficiently than anyone else. A visit to Stamford Bridge will be their toughest test yet, with their hosts having found the back of the net almost as capably.
