Actor Raphael Schumacher in coma after lynching scene goes wrong

An actor is in a coma after a lynching scene that he was performing on stage went horribly wrong.
Italian actor Raphael Schumacher was rushed to hospital after he was strangled on stage in the incident last night.
The alarm was raised when a member of the audience realised the 27-year-old was in serious pain.
It took place in Pisa as he appeared in the six-scene play Mirages, with police launching an investigation.
The theatre was sealed off, and members of the audience as well as the cast and crew have been interviewed by police officers, The Times reports.
One report claims that a box Raphael was meant to stand on while the noose was put around his neck had been moved.
Initial investigations have also revealed that he was not wearing a body harness as required.
An actor involved in the play who wished not to be named said: "The noose should have been fake and a harness should have caught him if he fell.
"I cannot explain how an incident like this happened."
