A Must-Have List: Curly Hairstyles for Winter

Naturally curly hair has its ups and downs…in regards to styles that is! Don’t get stuck in a rut and wear your curls the same every day this winter season. Give a few of these curly hairstyles a try this winter to switch up your look without a drastic cut or color!

Fantasy Curls

I love this fresh, flirty and curly pinned up look. With a sleek fringe, frizz-free curls, and just the right amount of tendrils, you’ll be sure to be a hit at your next party or night out!

How To:
  1. After shampooing hair using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, scrunch dry using a towel.
  2. Apply a curl cream or mousse and comb through using a wide tooth comb to ensure product is evenly distributed.
  3. Dry hair using a diffuser. Set dryer on the highest heat and lowest force to combat frizz.
  4. Using a medium-sized round bush, smooth fringe off to desired side.
  5. Once hair is dry, take medium-sized sections and lift them up. Pin sections at your roots using a criss cross pattern. Continue pinning sections up randomly, leaving some tendrils down.
  6. Finish with your favorite hairspray.
Recommended Products:
Starting with the right shampoo is important with natural curls. I love the Pravana NEVO Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. They provide just the right amount of moisture without weighing hair down.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Heart or diamond shaped faces look great in this upstyle, while hair that is medium thickness and any type of curls achieve this look easily.
Tips:
Practice makes perfect, and improves on how fast you can achieve this look too! Nothing to do tonight? Practice pinning your hair up a time or two and you’ll be a pro in no time.
