Volume Redefined

Volume in the front with sleekly pulled back sides is the perfect party look this season! It is also very versatile, going from the office to out on the town in no time.
Curly Pulled Back Hairstyle with Volume

How To:
  1. Apply a curl cream to damp clean hair.
  2. Blow dry using a dryer and diffuser, making sure to set your heat on high and force on low to keep frizz down.
  3. Once hair is dry, create a section from the front/back to the crown. Secure this out of the way with a clip.
  4. Section out the sides that you desire to pull back and comb them smoothly back towards the center. Secure with bobby pins crossed over in an “X” pattern.
  5. Take down the top section and backcomb to produce awesome volume. Gather the hair together and slightly twist and push it forward to create a nice bump of volume. Smooth any rough spots out with a comb turned on its side. Secure with bobby pins.
Recommended Products:
One of my favorite curl creams is Kevin Murphy’s Motion Lotion because it gives curls lots of separation and bounce, but is never flaky or weighty.
Best Face Shape and Hair Texture:
Heart and oval face shapes look amazing with this sophisticated style, while hair that is medium in density and soft in curl will be a breeze to style.
Tip:
If you love this look but want to pull it all up, no worries! Simply follow the directions, then softly twist curls in to a loose bun and bobby pin in.
