With many buyers still cautious of hybrid cars today, imagine what the reaction was like to the Toyota Prius when we got our first glimpse back in 1997. It may have looked a weird “car of the future,” but it was genuinely practical and not that expensive. Now, apart from the odd anomaly, Toyota is embracing hybrid power across its range.
