How To:
- After shampooing hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, apply a curl cream throughout.
- Dry hair using dryer and diffuser, using low force and high heat to create a soft curl without frizz.
- Once hair is dry, section out the area in front angling back.
- Starting at the back of the section, divide hair into three sections and begin a French braid, bringing hair under instead of over. This creates a flat braid that looks like a headband.
- When you reach the end of the section, continue to braid a few more inches then place above the ear. Secure with bobby pins and arrange curls to hide them.
- Finish this look with your favorite hairspray and get ready to accept the compliments!
A good hairspray that doesn’t build up or dull the hair is important. Try Bed Head Hard Head Hairspray. Spray a little for softer hold, and a lot if you don’t want it to move all day!
Best Face Shape and Hair Texture:
Round or square faces look great with their hair pulled off their face, while hair that is thick and very curly can achieve this look without difficulty.
Tip:
If you’re having trouble pinning the braid, try using a clear elastic first to secure the end of the braid, then hook a bobby pin through the elastic and pin in.
