Braided Back

Braids are still going strong this winter season! They are a great way to liven up curls, especially for second day hair.

How To:
  1. After shampooing hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, apply a curl cream throughout.
  2. Dry hair using dryer and diffuser, using low force and high heat to create a soft curl without frizz.
  3. Once hair is dry, section out the area in front angling back.
  4. Starting at the back of the section, divide hair into three sections and begin a French braid, bringing hair under instead of over. This creates a flat braid that looks like a headband.
  5. When you reach the end of the section, continue to braid a few more inches then place above the ear. Secure with bobby pins and arrange curls to hide them.
  6. Finish this look with your favorite hairspray and get ready to accept the compliments!
Recommended Products:
A good hairspray that doesn’t build up or dull the hair is important.  Try Bed Head Hard Head Hairspray. Spray a little for softer hold, and a lot if you don’t want it to move all day!
Best Face Shape and Hair Texture:
Round or square faces look great with their hair pulled off their face, while hair that is thick and very curly can achieve this look without difficulty.
Tip:
If you’re having trouble pinning the braid, try using a clear elastic first to secure the end of the braid, then hook a bobby pin through the elastic and pin in.
