How To:
- While hair is damp, apply a medium hold gel or mousse, scrunching through to ensure it’s evenly applied.
- Dry hair using the diffuser attachment for your hair dryer. Set dryer on high heat/low force to keep frizz away.
- Once hair is dry, use a comb to section out your desired part.
- Gather hair in back/middle of your head. Give the section a twist while holding it up towards the ceiling. Lay it flat on the top of head and begin pinning. Place bobby pins at different angles, or try screw in a hair pin or clip to hold hair in place.
- Once secure, arrange loose curls as desired and spray with hairspray.
All curls are not created equal! Try different textures of styling products until you find the right one for your curls. Kevin Murphy’s Motion Lotion with a medium soft hold is a great starting point.
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Heart, round and oval face shapes look great in this look, while hair that is fine to medium in texture will be easy to twist up.
Tips:
If you’re having trouble getting all of your hair up in one twist, section it in half and create two twists. You can arrange the curls to hide them in the back.
