How To:
- Shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
- While hair is damp, apply a curl enhancing cream. Comb through to make sure it is evenly distributed throughout each strand.
- Let hair air dry or blow dry with dryer and diffuser. With curls as tight as shown in the picture, you want to just use the dryer and avoid touching to keep frizz at bay.
- Create a section in front and separate a small subsection out. Separate into three strands and begin to French braid, adding hair as you go. Make sure to hold the hair being braided close to your scalp to keep it tight.
- Secure with small clear elastic and pull to tighten.
- If needed, apply a frizz serum into hands, then rub your hands together and apply to hair (especially any strands that may be prone to frizz).
A diffuser is critical in styling curly hair. Check to see if the manufacturer of your hair dryer makes one specific to your model or try your local beauty supply for one that fits multiple models.
Best Face Shape and Hair Texture:
Any face shape can wear this curly masterpiece! Hair that is very curly and thick creates this style best.
Tip:
To keep ends from sticking together or frizzing, keep up on those end trims! Curly hair tends to dry out easily and a small trim every 6-8 weeks will keep it looking great.
