Soft Waves

Soft waves create a great look that is easier to achieve for naturally curlies than perfectly straight hair. Flowing waves create texture and add fun to any day.

Long Hairstyle with Soft Waves

How To:
  1. After shampooing with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, apply a smoothing cream. Comb through to ensure each strand is covered.
  2. Let hair air dry or blow dry using a diffuser attachment on your dryer.
  3. While drying, push hair along the hairline up and back and hold in place while drying to encourage it to stay put.
  4. Finish with your favorite hairspray, making sure to spray the front especially well.
Recommended Products:
I love a smoothing cream in curly or wavy hair to smooth out any frizz and give it shine. Try Pravana’s NEVO Model Behavior — it’s my favorite!
Best Face Shape and Hair Type:
Diamond and oval faces look great in this wavy look, while hair that is naturally wavy and is cut into layers will make it easiest to create this style.
Tip:
If your hair is curlier than this pic, don’t worry, you can still achieve a wavy look! Before you blow dry, brush hair straight. This will soften out a lot of your curl. Keep the dryer on a low setting and skip the diffuser, but keep the air flowing downward on your hair shaft to encourage more of a wave than curl.
