Broadchurch is back for a second series and we for one are very curious about where this new series is going to go.

Some of our favourite characters are returning to the small town in Dorset where the gruesome murder of an 11-year-old boy had detectives Alec Hardy (played by David Tennant) and Ellie Miller (played by Olivia Colman) searching for the killer.

Series one focused on the impact of this murder on the town and there is suggestions that series two could continue this storyline on as characters are returning, meaning it might not be a brand new mystery.

There are a lot of new cast members coming into the mix including Eve Myles and Charlotte Rampling, but their part in the story has been kept under secrecy for now. We have seen many glimpses of bluebells in the new trailer which may have some significance to the plot and the tagline 'New Secrets'.  

All will be revealed January 5 2015 when Broadchurch series 2 returns to ITV.
